  • Who will be my life coach?

My name is Adelfa Marr, I’m the creator of this website and the facilitator of the #BothSides conversations on Instagram. I was a writer for websites such as The Thirty, InKind.Life, Byrdie Beauty and 21Ninety. I recently quit my job as a writer to become a full-time online life coach. When subscribing to a life coach or purchasing an individual session, you will only speak to me. It is my mission to ensure that you feel safe within our space and feel like you can confide in me when it comes to big life-changes as well as day-to-day things that come up in your life. You will never have to worry about our conversations being seen by anyone but you and me and you will never have to worry about being passed onto someone else.

As your life coach, I will ensure that I check in with you two-three times per day, five-six days per week. I am not here to replace your physician, therapist, psychologist or health provider seeing as that is not what I’m capable of doing. I will not diagnose you nor will I try to “fix” or “cure” you. I will simply be here to help guide you into living a happy, healthy, guilt-free and toxic-free life to ensure you’re living the best life you can be living. 

Everything that is spoken about within our sessions is entirely confidential. We will speak through the Signal - Private Messenger app which is available for iOS and Android users as well as for Chrome browser users through their latest plugin. Signal - Private Messenger allows us to communicate privately with end-to-end encrypted text messages, audio messages and video messages. I do not partner with any health insurance providers nor health providers so you do not have to report that you are taking these sessions with me. 

I am dedicated to being here for you through the toughest of times and through all of the best of times, as a friend, a coach, a counselor and a guide. 

  • How will I communicate with you?

I will use and will require my clients to use the Signal - Private Messenger app which is available for iOS and Android. Signal - Private Messenger is one of the top secure messaging apps which allows us to communicate via text, calls and videos in privacy. Signal - Private Messenger uses an advanced end-to-end encryption to secure all the messages shared with other Signal users, according to Fossbytes. The easy-to-use app features highly encrypted voice calls, group chats and media transfer and can be used on any Chrome browser with its new Chrome browser plugin as well. 

With the help of Signal - Private Messenger app, we can exchange text messages, video messages, audio messages and phone calls and feel secure in doing so. As time progresses and I build a strong and consistent clientele, I will proceed with creating my own app in which we have safe space rooms outside of other applications. For the time being, I’m using one of the most secure, private messaging apps that are available. 

  • Do you have free trials?

In order to keep my prices affordable, I’m not able to offer free trials. I can absolutely provide a free 30-minute phone consultation to discuss your goals, your life coaching needs and most importantly, to ensure that we are a right match for each other.  

  • How can I cancel my subscription?

Subscription cancellations are free of charge. You are required to make an account when purchasing your subscription which allows you to sign into your account whenever you may need to. To cancel a subscription, you must go to your account > cancel subscription > confirm cancel subscription. Your safe space will remain open until the month of your subscription is up. 

  • What is your refund policy?

Refunds for unused time are not granted because I have charged you for time that is scheduled to be used, much like other medical professionals. However, accommodations can be made for circumstances such as death, disability, etc. and will be reviewed by case. If a refund is not granted, a store credit can be issued for future purchases of life coaching sessions or any product that is available on the website.  

  • What happens if I have to cancel a live video session or a phone call?

Live video sessions and phone calls must be scheduled within 24 hours of your desired time slot. You will be given a 10-minute grace period per session to arrive/call late. If you surpass the 10-minute grace period, it will be counted as a no-show. 

For single session phone calls: If you would like to cancel a phone call, you must notify me within 24-hours of your time slot otherwise it will be counted as a no-show and you will lose out on your session. If given a 24-hour notice, I will gladly reschedule your session. Refunds will not be granted for no-shows.

For subscription phone calls: If you would like to cancel a subscription phone call, you must notify me within 24-hours of your time slot otherwise it will be counted as a no-show and you will lose out on your session. If given a 24-hour notice, I will gladly reschedule your session for the same month. If we cannot find a common time, your session will not roll over onto the next month

For single live video sessions: If you would like to cancel a live video session, you must notify me within 24-hours of your time slot otherwise it will be counted as a no-show and you will lose out on your session.   • What are the requirements to begin our sessions?

For us to begin our sessions, payment along with personal information such as your name, email and phone number are required. Your personal information will not be shared with anyone. It is simply required to ensure that you are a real person. Considering the caution I have to take to ensure that clients are participating for genuine reasons, I have to cover all of my bases. A form is required to be filled out for everyone who is purchasing a session or subscription. 

  • What is done with my private information?

Your private information will be stored in private folders and will not be shared with anyone. Your name, email, address, phone number and reasons for beginning life coaching sessions will solely be seen by me and no one else. These are simply for my records and will be kept safely and privately. 

  • How can life coaching improve my life?

Life coaching can help you improve day-to-day aspects of your life, such as diet, work stresses, relationship stresses, etc. With a life coach, you have someone who can relate to what you’re experiencing in a caring way. With expertise in dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, pregnancy, parenthood, along with health and wellness, I have the necessary tools to ensure that you can navigate these hurdles in your life to reach a happier and healthier lifestyle in a guilt-free manner.  

  • What happens if I have an emergency?

I require an emergency contact and an address from all of my clients to ensure that I can reach out to your safety contact in case of any emergency.
